We hope you enjoy the article about Long Thanh, a Viet Namese photographer who has made his career in black and white.
From the humblest of beginnings as a teenager in a poor family in the midst of a war, Long Thanh has become a major force in the Viet Namese community of photographers. He is one of a handful of the 900 plus Viet Namese photographers who continue to use film, and a rarity in continuing to work solely in black and white.
Read also about three of our 2008 workshops:

1. Steve Anchell: Alternative Large Format Techniques

2. David Lewis: The Bromoil Master Class

3. Sandy King: Carbon Printing

Each of these instructors is a master of their craft. If your interest lies in what they teach, this is your chance to have a great week at the Formulary and to leave invigorated and recharged in what you like to do and what you do best.
The Alternative Processes Photography Contest is about to close. The last day to RECEIVE entries at the Formulary is April 1, 2008. Get yours in the mail to us today. It's worth a chance to win tuition to the workshop of your choice during our Summer 2008 series of workshops.
